12-inch main break located in a creek bed near dam

STREATOR – The 12 inch water main break located over the weekend was repaired last night in Streator. According to Illinois American Water, the main break was located near the Streator Dam in a creek bed, surrounded by vegetation, making it challenging to locate.

Customers are being reminded to continue to conserve water as a boil order remain in effect for portions of Streator, Acona, Longpoint, Dana and Reading.
