2 new COVID deaths in LaSalle County; nearly 80 statewide

OTTAWA – 2 additional coronavirus related deaths were confirmed in LaSalle County, a male in his 70’s and another in his 90’s. There have now been a total of 237 COVID-19 related deaths since the pandemic began. In addition to the deaths, 29 new recoveries and new cases each were reported by the LCHD. The county has seen 8,637 cases with 5,723 of those now recovered. Statewide, 5,059 new probable and confirmed cases were reported with 79 additional deaths.
