236 new cases of COVID-19, three fatalities


SPRINGFIELD – As of Monday there are 236 new cases of  COVID-19 in Illinois, including three deaths in Cook County; two men in their 80s and a man in his 90s. The Illinois Department of Public Health is reporting a total of 1,285 cases in 31 counties and 12 fatalities. Monroe is now also reporting a case. A 40-year-old LaSalle County man is at home in isolation after becoming the second person discovered with COVID-19 on Sunday.  The LaSalle County Health Department announced that the person had not traveled or had known contact with a confirmed case. Due to privacy laws his community was not released.
