OTTAWA – The LaSalle County Health Department announced Monday evening that five county residents contracted Covid-19 disease in the past day. The newly infected consists of people in their 30’s, 40’s, and 50’s. Four people are newly recovered, according to health officials, and so far during the pandemic, 418 people have contracted the virus.
LaSalle County is one of only four counties in the state on the Illinois Department of Public Health’s warning list, due to a higher than desired 7 day average of cases per 100,000 people and increased emergency department visits.
