61 New Covid-19 Deaths in Illinois

CHICAGO – The Illinois Department of Public Health reports 61 deaths on Saturday from the Coronavirus.  IDPH says that of the 61 who died, almost half were 80 or older.   None of the deaths were from people younger than 40, and since the pandemic was declared in March, 5,300 Covid related deaths were reported in the state.    Public Health Officials announce 1,462 new cases of Coronavirus out of over 25,000 people who were tested in the past 24 hours.
