SPRINGFIELD – The Illinois Department of Public Health Thursday announced 929 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Illinois, including 116 additional confirmed deaths, 19 of those from outside of Chicagoland.
Within the past 24 hours, laboratories have taken 22,841 specimens for testing. The preliminary seven-day statewide positivity for cases as a percent of total tests performed from May 28–June 3 is 6%, a number that has been declining for the past two weeks.
