Additional COVID-19 cases announced in LaSalle County, Statewide

OTTAWA – 5 more cases of coronavirus were announced Monday by the LaSalle County Health Department, the lowest daily case count since late July. With the addition of these individuals, ranging in age from their 20’s to their 60’s, LaSalle County has seen 1,619 cases of COVID-19 in total, with 1,029 of those cases now recovered. In addition, the Illinois Department of Public Health reported 1,477 new cases statewide, along with 7 additional deaths. The statewide preliminary 7-day positivity rate is currently 3.5%.
