Andersen Trial Update

HENNEPIN – Tests for blood came back negative on Clifford Andersen’s personal items according to a forensics testimony, Wednesday at the Putnam County Courthouse. Andersen is accused of the concealment and murder of his sister in law, Deborah Dewey. A State Police forensic scientist tested the defendants sneakers, car seats, and watch after Illinois State Police found reddish-brown colored stains on the object, but no traces of blood or DNA were found on the evidence.  However, the left wheel of the carpet cleaner that was assumed to be used in the clean up of the murder came up positive for Andersen’s DNA.
