SPRINGFIELD – The latest county unemployment numbers have been released by the state, and they show job growth throughout North Central Illinois in August. LaSalle County is over 9%, from a high rate in May of 18.4% unemployment. Bureau County is lower, at 7.1%. Woodford and Livingston Counties are the lowest in the area, checking in around 6.5%.
