Boil Order For Streator Lifted

 
 
STREATOR – The boil order has been lifted for the Streator District.   Friday evening, a boil order was issued due to water main breaks and the resulting loss of water pressure, and it affected the communities of Streator, Ancona, Dana, Kangley, Longpoint, Ransom and Reading. Saturday
afternoon, Illinois American Water issued a press release saying the issue has been resolved, and the order is now lifted.  The company says that tests confirm the water continues to meet all EPA Safe Drinking Water Act standards and regulations
