Bureau County reports 18 new cases of COVID-19; Free testing coming to Spring Valley

PRINCETON – The Bureau, Putnam and Marshall County Health Department on Thursday announced 18 new cases of COVID-19, including an infection in a toddler. This brings the total since the pandemic began to 427 cases, with sixty-nine of those cases coming in the last seven days. Bureau County has recorded 9 COVID-19 related deaths and has remained in warning level Orange by the Illinois Department of Public Health since August 7th. In addition to daily testing available at Perry Memorial Hospital and St. Margaret’s Hospital, IDPH will be offering a mobile drive up testing site from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Saturday, September 5th in front of the Spring Valley Library. No appointment is necessary. Testing is free.
All eighteen new cases are recovering at home in Bureau County:
One male toddler
One male in his teens
One male in his 20’s
Three in their 30’s
One female in her 30’s
Two males in their 40’s
Four females in their 40’s
Two males in their 50’s
Two females in their 50’s
One female in her 60’s
