California man in custody for purported drug possession near Princeton


PRINCETON – A California man is in custody after authorities seized a substance containing purported fentanyl and over $150,000 in vacuum-sealed packages during a traffic stop near Princeton on Thursday. According to the Tri-County Drug Enforcement Narcotics Teams, 21-year-old Alejandro Valencia of Bakersfield, California faces felony charges after officers allegedly seized 2-kilo sized packages of a substance containing purported fentanyl and over $150,000 in multiple packages in Valencia’s vehicle. He is being held at the Bureau County Jail with bond yet to be set.
