PERU – Improvements to tennis courts at Washington Park are expected to begin soon as the city seeks out bids for the project. The Peru City Council authorized Engineer Eric Carls to begin seeking bids for the estimated $200,000 project. The project includes upgrading the tennis courts to regulation size and other additions like new pickleball courts. Wenzel Road between LaSalle and Peru on 24th Street will also be repaired in the near future. Peru Engineer Eric Carls says he and the city of LaSalle’s Engineer Brian Brown, will meet to present the full project to their councils for approval.
