CONCORD TWP – A construction worker was struck by a vehicle in a construction zone in Concord Township on Thursday. According to the Bureau County Sheriff’s Department, a 78-year-old Tampico woman was traveling north bound on Route 40, when she allegedly struck a construction worker during roadway maintenance at the intersection of 1745 N. Avenue. It was reported that the Tampico woman did not see the construction worker in the roadway when the mirror of the vehicle struck his right arm. The 29-year-old Chicago man was transported to Perry Memorial Hospital.
