LASALLE- Two people were arrested Tuesday in LaSalle by the Tri-County Drug Enforcment Narcotics Team for alleged drugs and one person is potentially facing additional charges regarding possible counterfeit currency. TriDent announced they conducted a buy/bust operation in the 300 block of Civic Road in LaSalle, during which they allegedly made a controlled purchase of 22 grams of purported methamphetamine from 24 year-0ld Chelsea N. Hardin of Sparland and 37 year-old David M. Harris of Galesburg. After they were taken into custody, Harris allegedly had 7.5 grams of purported methamphetamines on his person and Hardin allegedly had an additional 3 grams of purported methamphetamines in her purse. Also arrested was 36 year-old Thomas E. Roberson II of Knoxville, Illinois. He allegedly had less than one gram of purported methamphetamines along with what police say was counterfeit $100 bills. All three were taken to the LaSalle County Jail pending bond hearing. Hardin and Harris were charged with Class X Unlawful Delivery of Methamphetamine. Roberson was charged with a Class 3 Felony for Possession but could be facing additional charges for the alleged counterfeit currency.
