OTTAWA – Ottawa is getting closer to beginning curb replacements and construction of a new pedestrian bridge. Earlier this week, council awarded a bid to Complete Concrete Raising in Minooka for $254,000 for concrete work on East Stevenson Road, Boyce Memorial Drive the Turnberry Subdivision, Wake, Nebraska, Post, East Lafayette and Chambers streets. The city also approved a construction engineering agreement with I- MEG for an I-80 pedestrian bridge on the west side of Route 23. The city will fund 20 percent of the 2.5 million dollar project. Construction plans will go out to bid in October.
