Death toll rises related to COVID-19 in LaSalle County

OTTAWA – The LaSalle County Health Department today reported three additional COVID-19 related deaths in LaSalle County.   The individuals, two females in their 60’s, and a female in her 80’s, had earlier tested positive for COVID-19.  

“It is with deep sorrow that we announce the loss of three of our LaSalle County residents to this illness. Our thoughts and deepest condolences go out to the family and friends who are mourning the loss of their loved ones.” LaSalle County Health Department Administrator Julie Kerestes said in a statement.

The department has also confirmed Friday an additional four COVID-19 cases in LaSalle County bringing the total to 118 cases. The additional infections are three women and a man ranging in age from their 20’s to their 70’s.  All three are in isolation.

Two additional individuals are considered recovered and have been released from isolation.  The total number of reported recovered individuals for LaSalle County is 51.  The death toll related to COVID-19 in the county is now 8
