CHICAGO – Since Monday, the national average for a gallon of regular gasoline has declined eight cents to $4.13. Based on new data from the Energy Information Administration gas demand remains low and stocks continue to rise alongside falling crude prices, drivers will likely continue to see pump prices decrease. Since last Thursday, 10 states have seen the largest decreases in their averages including Illinois at 21 cents down. Locally, LaSalle County residents are paying an average of $4.42 cents per gallon at the pump, nearly 30 cents cheaper compared to last week. Bureau County gas prices are the cheapest around North Central Illinois at $4.35 cents per gallon.
