GENOA – A DeKalb County Man is in jail after an ATF and Rockford Bomb Squad raid on his home. On Monday Genoa Police were called about a report of a man who allegedly displayed a gun to another motorist. After an investigation, authorities stopped 54-year-old Joseph D. Walsh of Genoa and during a search they found a purported explosive device in his glove box. A search warrant on Tuesday was obtained for his residence in Genoa, where additional alleged explosive devices were found along with firearms and ammunition. Walsh is charged with two counts of Unlawful Use of Weapons (Explosives) and is currently in the DeKalb County Jail.
