MENDOTA – Del Monte announced Tuesday that they have found a buyer for the Mendota facility. The sale is expected to be completed in late 2020. The news was included in a stock holding report for the Philippines Stock Exchange. The buyer wasn’t specified, but Seneca Foods earlier this year purchased the Del Monte facility in Cambria, Wisconsin.
Mendota city clerk Emily McConville said “The city is very thankful and happy about the potential sale. We look forward to welcoming the new owners to Mendota.”
In August it was announced that they were planning to close the location by spring of 2020. The 431 acre facility on the East side of Mendota has been a part of the community since 1949.
