Details to be released on last weekend’s fire in Ottawa

OTTAWA – The Ottawa Fire Chief says details on last weekend’s fire on Chestnut Street will be released Friday. According to Chief Andrew Borkowski, the department is awaiting the State Fire Marshal’s conclusion to the investigation that started after a fire damaged two homes last week Friday night in the 1600 block of Chestnut Street. Borkowski says the departments investigation and state fire marshal’s will be released jointly. Multiple area fire departments including Naplate, Wallace and Streator assisted at the scene.
