Driver Dead After Rock Falls Police Officer Shooting

ROCK FALLS – One person is dead after being shot by a police officer during a vehicle pursuit in Rock Falls. According to the Rock Falls Police Department, before 8 PM on Friday an officer attempted to pull over a vehicle, when the driver allegedly continued traveling to another location where they eventually stopped and an officer shot and killed the suspect. The Illinois State Police are investigating the incident, however, the press release states that the Officers appeared to have reacted appropriately.
