LASALLE – Eastbound I-80 will be closed to all traffic Friday night starting at 9 PM. The Illinois Department of Transportation announced that the ramps at Illinois 251, Illinois 351 and the exit from I-39 will be blocked as well to allow for emergency repairs to the I-80 bridge over the Little Vermillion River. The Interstate is expected to re-open Saturday morning at 5 AM. Motorists will be directed north on Illinois 251 to US 52 to I-39 as a bypass. This is part of an ongoing project to replace a number of bridges along Interstate 80.
