Farmers Worried About Wet Spring

Studstill Media Photo

EARLVILLE – Farmers typically are working long hours by mid-May planting corn in North Central Illinois, however, due to a wet cold spring many farmers are behind. Earlville farmer Carl Zimmerman said that come June 1st, hard decisions are going to have to be made regarding what and where they will be planting. Zimmerman has yet to plant any corn, and with the ground being so wet, the question of when anyone will be able to get back into the fields is up in the air.
