MENDOTA – Mendota Aldermen discussed the police and fire pension at Monday night’s city council meeting. Alderman Bill Hunt announced that the police pension fund would be increased by 4.47%, up to just over $611,000, with the fire pension fund increasing by .81% to around $182,000. Hunt also explained that the passage of Senate Bill 1300 would make it easier to raise funds for the pension, as it allows funds to be taken from any revenue source.
