OTTAWA – High water has closed many roads and streets in the area, including portions of Illinois 351, 178 and 71.
Dee Bennett Road, Ben Samek Road, and DuPoint Road has flooded as well. Officials in Ottawa state that the Main Street/Fox River Bridge is restricted to Eastside residents only, and the bridge will reopen to all traffic when the rivers have lowered to a safe level. If you do encounter standing water on an area roadway, please turn around, don’t drown.
