Four new COVID-19 cases in Livingston County

PONTIAC – Four more residents of Livingston County have tested positive for COVID-19.  The Livingston County Health Department said Thursday a woman in her 30’s, man in his 30’s and a man in his 50’s all of whom are recovering in isolation, as well as woman in her 60’s who is currently hospitalized all tested positive.  LCHD officials continue to work closely with the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH), and have investigated and notified any individuals who may have had exposure to these individuals who tested positive for COVID-19.

As of August 6, 2020, the LCHD has received 4,696 COVID-19 test results. Of that, 105 COVID-19 tests have been confirmed positive, 4,591 tests confirmed negative, 84 of the previously reported confirmed cases have been removed from isolation, nineteen cases remain active, one case is currently hospitalized, and two cases have resulted in death due to complications related to COVID-19. Of those individuals who have tested positive, 24 were asymptomatic at the time of testing.
