CEDARVILLE, Ill. (AP) — A northern Illinois man has been charged with murder in the fatal shootings of two men at a Cedarville bar.
Stephenson’s County sheriff’s officials said Devin Marcum shot and killed 35-year-old Kyle Tucker and 36-year-old Shaun Bradbury at the Cedar Inn Bar about 1:45 a.m. Sunday. All three came from Freeport.
A third man was wounded and taken to a hospital with undisclosed injuries.
Marcum, 23, was at-large for about two hours before police officers found him in Freeport. Authorities said he was in possession of a firearm that matched the shell casings found at the scene.
Stephenson County Chief Deputy Mark Marti did not go into details about what led to the shooting except that there had been a disagreement at the bar. The disagreement wasn’t necessarily among the people involved in the shooting, Marti said.
Marcum was being held at the Stephenson County jail on $600,000 bail. He is charged with first-degree murder, attempted murder, aggravated battery with a firearm, aggravated discharge of a firearm and possession of weapon by a felon.
He doesn’t have a listed phone number to pursue comment and his case was not listed in online court records.
