Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker speaking 3/20/20 about the COVID-19 Pandemic

SPRINGFIELD – Governor J.B. Pritzker says statewide, intensive care unit beds are still available, staffed and ready for immediate use. During Tuesday’s COVID-19 conference with the Illinois Department of Public Health, Pritzker says statewide preliminary reports shows 41% percent of ICU beds empty and 68% of ventilators available. He says Illinois has one of the strongest public health systems in the country, but even so we weren’t immune to the viruses ability to push our existing capacity beyond its limits.
