OTTAWA – The National Weather Service announced that Monday there will be an elevated fire hazard through tonight. The combination of low relative humidity, mild temperatures, and dried-out grasses and shrubs could potentially lead to quickly-spreading, uncontrolled brushfires. Outdoor burning today is strongly discouraged, as winds are forecast to gust as high as 40 mph.
