SPRINGFIELD – 135 additional coronavirus related deaths were confirmed by the Illinois Department of Public Health on Wednesday, including 3 individuals from DeKalb County and 1 from LaSalle County. Illinois also saw 6,762 new cases of COVID-19. Since the pandemic began, there have been a total of 918,070 cases and 15,547 deaths. The state health department also reported that, as of Tuesday evening, 4,593 individuals in Illinois were reported to be in the hospital with COVID-19, with 953 of those in the ICU.
