SPRINGFIELD – 7,574 new confirmed and probable cases of COVID-19 were confirmed by the Illinois Department of Public Health on Friday. The IDPH also saw 66 more coronavirus related deaths, which included individuals in Bureau, DeKalb, and LaSalle County. Although the confirmed case count on Friday was the lowest the state has seen since the start of the month, the number of tests done in the last 24 hours was less than average as well. SInce the start of the pandemic, there have been 705,063 cases in total with 12,029 deaths.
