SPRINGFIELD – 6,190 new confirmed and probable cases of coronavirus were reported by the Illinois Department of Public Health. This marks the lowest daily case count the state has seen since late October. 85 additional deaths were also reported by the IDPH, which included 2 individuals from LaSalle County. Overall, the IDPH has seen a total of 726,304 cases with 12,278 COVID-19 related deaths since the start of the pandemic. As of Sunday evening, 5,849 individuals in the state were reported to be in the hospital with COVID-19 with 1,217 in the ICU.
