OGLESBY – Illinois Valley Community College agriculture students now have the ability to pursue an ‘Earn and Learn’ career with GRAINCO FS and AgView FS.  Under the partnership, select ag students will enjoy paid internships, summer jobs, two years’ reimbursement of all educational expenses while completing the Associate of Applied Science degree in agriculture and guaranteed full-time employment with one of the companies for three years.  Employment includes an hourly salary with overtime potential, paid time off (PTO), 100 percent employer-funded pension, Flex-Spending Account (FSA), Health Savings Account (HSA), profit-sharing, training and career advancement opportunities within the companies as well as within parent company GROWMARK.

The program will launch this fall with students beginning internships this spring. At least one student will be selected by each company annually.

“This is a tremendous, long-term career opportunity for our students and a pipeline to qualified, well-prepared employees for GRAINCO and AgView,” said IVCC President Jerry Corcoran. “It speaks to how far our agriculture program has come and how well respected it is.”
