OGLESBY – Illinois Valley Community College’s Continuing Education Office will be offering a photography class on Thursday nights starting in September. IVCC will have “Photography for Beginners: DSLR” from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Thursdays, Sept. 3 through Oct. 8 in room E320. Instructor Doug Dellinger will teach students about basic photography concepts, camera settings and functions, lenses, accessories and an overview of topics related to imagery. Students will review and discuss photos presented by the instructor as well as student work. Class will meet both indoors and outdoors, weather permitting. Class size is limited to 8-10 students. Students should bring a digital SLR camera, lens, memory card and camera manual to class. Registration is available now.
