UTICA – Lane closures for road work will begin on US Route 6 between Utica and Ottawa beginning Wednesday. According to the Illinois Department of Transportation patching and resurfacing will take place US Route 6 from IL 178 to west city limits of Ottawa. Daytime lane closures controlled by flaggers will impact travel. Delays can be expected due to lane restrictions. Work is expected to continue into mid-summer.
