OTTAWA – LaSalle County Board members voted to cancel their decision to stop paying two deputy auditors at Monday’s meeting. The board had voted on the 11th of this month to stop paying the two employees, Tori Artman and Pamela Wright, after they had been charged with allegedly taking $1,358 and $1,672 respectively in overtime work that they did not do. The board was allegedly informed that the decision to stop paying the deputy auditors had not followed union contract. Artman and Wright were charged with theft and official misconduct. The two deputy auditors will still continue to receive pay and benefits following the board’s decision to withdraw its previous resolution.
