OTTAWA – LaSalle County Health Department is offering a free mobile Hepatitis C screening clinic. The mobile clinic will be on Friday, July 26th in Ottawa from 11:00 – 2:00 p.m. It will be held in the Ottawa North Kroger parking lot located at 2701 N. Columbus St. Those who are most at risk for Hepatitis C infection include, anyone born between 1945 – 1965, injection drug users, healthcare workers, men who have sex with men, HIV positive individuals, unprofessional tattoos or body piercings and anyone who has been incarcerated. Hepatitis C can range from a mild illness lasting a few weeks to a serious, lifelong illness.
