LASALLE – A LaSalle man was injured in a crash after allegedly fleeing a traffic stop early Thursday. According to the LaSalle County Sheriff’s Office, deputies attempted to perform a traffic stop on US Route 6 between LaSalle and Utica when the driver allegedly attempted to flee. Authorities say 28-year-old Justin R. Lewis subsequently crashed after a pursuit. He was taken to IVCH before being taken to the LaSalle County Jail. Lewis was charged with multiple offenses, including Aggravated Fleeing, Possession of a Controlled Substance – Cocaine, and a citiation for speeding for reportedly going 105 MPH in a 55 MPH zone. He is currently awaiting a bond hearing.
