LASALLE – The LaSalle City Council board met Monday to reach a decision to take the next steps on a multi-jurisdiction law enforcement services and facility joined with Oglesby and Peru. The committee approved what they called phase one of the ordinance, meaning the approval to use up to $100,000 to continue to explore unanswered questions like engineering and feasibility. Mayor Grove believes there is still an “elephant in the room”, so in order to answer more questions, moving forward is the best option. The council will continue to discuss the matter at their next meeting. The council seeks to make all future council meeting at 6:30 p.m.
