Latest stimulus arrives via debit card

Studstill Media Photo

WASHINGTON – The latest direct stimulus payment arrived via direct deposit to many Americans in the last few weeks, but for those who received the first round of payments via check are now receiving a debit card in the mail.   The United States Treasury has issued millions of Economic Impact Payments on a card that those eligible will start receiving in the mail.  They are being sent in a white envelope that prominently displays the U.S. Department of the Treasury seal.  The card itself has the Visa name on the front of the Card and the issuing bank name, MetaBank®, N.A. on the back of the card.  Information on how to activate the card and how to withdraw or transfer the funds is also included.  If you have lost your card or accidentally threw it out thinking it was a scam, you can contact Metabank® for a replacement at 1(800)240-8100.
