AMBOY – An Amboy man was airlifted to a Rockford hospital after a two vehicle crash Monday morning in rural Lee County. The Lee County Sheriff’s Office say that around 11 AM they were called to a collision on Route 26 near Ackert Road. They say an SUV driven by 32-year-old Brian Albee was traveling south when for unknown reasons he allegedly crossed the center line and struck a tractor-trailer driven by a Peru man. The extent of Albee’s injuries was not released. The other driver was not injured and the crash is still under investigation.
