PERU – A crash involving a tractor-trailer and an SUV on Illinois Rt 251 Wednesday evening seriously injured one person. Multiple agencies were called to the scene around 5:30 PM about four miles north of Peru where one individual was flown from the scene via lifeflight. The road was closed for nearly four hours while crews removed the vehicles and the crash reconstructionist was on scene. The LaSalle County Sheriff’s Office and the Illinois State Police are expected to release more details later today.
