PONTIAC – The Livingston County Health Department on Thursday sent out a letter to all businesses to remind them of the importance of making sure workers and consumers are safe by following proper masking procedures. They announced they will begin conducting compliance checks and offering support to help businesses comply with the mask mandate, which requires employees to wear masks over their nose and mouth when unable to maintain 6′ of social distance and encouraging customers to do the same. They warn that businesses found to be in repeated violation may incur a fine.
