LASALLE – Local area food pantries received a boost in funds in time for the holiday season thanks to the law firm of Schweickert Ganassin Krzak & Rundio injury attorneys and the Doug & Rorie J Schweickert Charitable Trust. On Thursday Mike Krzak and Steven Schweikert presented $5,000 checks to both the Illinois Valley Food Pantry and the Hall Township Food Pantry. Executive Director of the Illinois Valley Food Pantry Mary Jo Credi appreciated the donation, especially during the difficult times caused by the pandemic. Jan Martin, director of the Hall Township Food Pantry said that they will be able to use the funds to make a substantial purchase from Riverbend Food Bank to help feed families in Bureau County.
