STREATOR – The Majestic Theatre’s owner is looking to work with the city of Streator on restoration plans. Last week the city held a strategic planning session discussing topics like business redevelopment and the Majestic Theatre had some spotlight. Challenges regarding funding and how the venue is unable to obtain a liquor license due to its proximity to a church were addressed. Owner Katie Troccoli says she would love to have the chance to work with the city.
Troccoli she says the city can update and amend their liquor ordinance or issue a venue license to allow that source of revenue for the theatre. Future plans for the Majestic entail live entertainment with local and national acts.
