MENDOTA- A Mendota man has died as a result of a two-vehicle crash in Mendota on Wednesday morning. According to the LaSalle County Coroner’s Office, 20-year-old Kaine M. Pizano-Olson died after a vehicle collision on Illinois Rt. 251 near North 40th Road in Mendota. The LaSalle County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement that Pizano-Olson was northbound on Rt. 251 when for unknown reasons he lost control of his vehicle and collided with a southbound tractor trailer driven by a 28-year-old Amboy man. Authorities say the incident is still under investigation by the LaSalle County Sheriff’s Office and LaSalle County Coroner Office.
