OTTAWA – The body of a missing man whose kayak was found on the Vermillion River on Tuesday has been identified. According to LaSalle County Coroner Richard Ploch, 60-year-old Ralph W. Frey of Mendota was recovered from the Vermillion River in Deer Park Township. Ploch says an autopsy will be conducted as part of the investigation with further information to be released when it becomes available.
