OTTAWA – No fatalities were reported in Ottawa Police Departments 2018 Traffic Crash Results. Collected and released by the Ottawa Police Department’s Illinois Traffic Crash reporting system, 735 traffic accidents were reported in 2018; 7 more than last year. Friday had the most accidents, with nearly 85 percent of the accident being in daylight hours. According to the department, the age group with the highest number of accidents was between 16 to 24 years of age.
