MARK – No injuries were reported after a fire at a residence in Putnam County Sunday night. Around 9:30 PM the Granville Hennepin Fire Protection District were called to the 100 Block of Via Cavour in Mark after a resident called saying they could smell something buring in their home. The family, 2 adults and a teenager plus pets evacuated the home and fire crews tackled the blaze which was confined to the living room and around the fireplace. The home sustained fire and water damage to the living room and smoke damage throughout. Standard and Spring Valley Fire Departments assisted Granville/Hennepin with the fire. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
